Workshop that concentrates solely on stress, stress management and burn out. A mix of theory and practice. What is stress? What happens to our body when we are under stress? How does what you eat affect stress levels in your body? Simple breathing and physical exercises that activate and strengthen basic bodily functions. Digestion, nervous system, oxygen intake. Practical advice on what to do if you have problems sleeping and panic attacks for instance. Yoga to regain your strength and sense of well-being. Stress is now classed as an illness and is estimated to be the root cause of 80% of all our illnesses today. What tools can MediYoga offer to combat stress and burn out? This weekend is aimed at people who wish to learn more about stress and burn out and how they affect us and how to regain your power, energy and sense of well being again. You can take the course even if you have never had any experience of yoga before.

Motto: By all means be a mystery, everyone loves a mystery, but never be a mystery to yourself.

MediYoga – Medical Yoga , a therapeutic form of yoga. Every year, we train hundreds of nurses, physiotherapists, therapists and doctors in long, deep breathing and other simple techniques which, they in turn, teach to their patients and clients.

As MediYoga practitioners, we have achieved remarkable success in combining age-old holistic tools with modern medicine. Orthodox medicine is superb at emergency care while yoga is a complete philosophical system that supports our own healing process. Many of our instructors and therapists are healthcare professionals who now use MediYoga as a complementary tool in their everyday work.

MediYoga started to take shape as early as 1998, when an initial partnership project was launched with the Karolinska Institute, Sweden, one of the world´s leading medical universities. This consisted of a study into what yoga could offer for patients with chronic back pain.

Our aim is to make yoga a natural part of society and an everyday feature of people’s lives, in school, at work, in the healthcare sector etc.

This is where yoga is needed. We do this via new research projects, developing courses and services that help make yoga more accessible and available where it delivers genuine benefits – right in the heart of fast paced modern everyday life.
