Chakras are talked about a great deal in yoga, but can we experience them? Each individually and the qualities  they are said to possess? Or are they simply colours, symbols and strange names?  This is a weekend where you get to know yourself and your energy system better and what your chakras are all about.  How you can connect and work with you inner energy systém, how to create and contain energy, that you do not loose it but  it works for you.

Two days to experience the power in each chakra and to become more conscious of your energetic map, how it affect you and learn techniques to use your chakras connection in the midst of your everyday life. This workshop will guide your through very practical yogic techniques and tools to improve energy level and quality in your life.

The workshop is part ot the special series of Kundalini Yoga Academy and is open for everybody, is suitable for yoga beginners as well as professionals.

ELISABETH ENGQVIST is yoga and meditation teacher, yoga therapist,  member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.  She is one of the founders of MediYoga International (therapeutic yoga). Elisabeth is head of development outside Sweden, she trains MediYoga instructors and therapists all over the world. She created different programs that teach us how yoga can help with different health issues. She is known for her sense of humor and practical approach to her teachings. She is based in Sweden.

MediYoga, e.i.Medical Yoga , a therapeutic form of yoga. Every year, we train hundreds of nurses, physiotherapists, therapists and doctors in long, deep breathing and other simple techniques which, they in turn, teach to their patients and clients. As MediYoga practitioners, we have achieved remarkable success in combining age-old holistic tools with modern medicine. Orthodox medicine is superb at emergency care while yoga is a complete philosophical system that supports our own healing process. Many of our instructors and therapists are healthcare professionals who now use MediYoga as a complementary tool in their everyday work. MediYoga started to take shape as early as 1998, when an initial partnership project was launched with the Karolinska Institute, Sweden, one of the world´s leading medical universities. This consisted of a study into what yoga could offer for patients with chronic back pain. Our aim is to make yoga a natural part of society and an everyday feature of people’s lives, in school, at work, in the healthcare sector etc. This is where yoga is needed. We do this via new research projects, developing courses and services that help make yoga more accessible and available where it delivers genuine benefits – right in the heart of fast paced modern everyday life.
